Jr Jazz Lose 14-10

Preston is having a blast on his Jr Jazz basketball team. And each game is a new experience for the players and the officials. The games are being called by high school kids so the refs are as (in)experienced as the players. Although, his game on Saturday was the best officiated yet. Even with better officiating the game seems to come down to luck. These nine year old boys are playing on 10' baskets with a full size ball. Most of the shots, even the layups, look more like a shot put competition than basketball, and most made shots appear to come by random than any sense of skill. Once again this week Preston's team appeared to be winning the game on the ground with better defense and ball control, but lose on the scoreboard. Honestly, I'm not sure they know the difference, as long as all the kids get playing time and everyone gets a treat afterward they seem unaffected by the score.
