As if getting blown out 8 - 0 wasn't bad enough, the girls on Jahna's team had to endure a constant barage of insults and name calling from the other team along with an official (provided by the other team) that badgered our players. I saw some of my players who are usually unflappable writhing with anger. So what did the coach do about all this? After one of my players was potentially seriously hurt on a no call foul right in front of the official, I started to charge out on the field at the official, but discretion became the better part of valor and I stopped knowing that to procede any further would turn a bad situation into a really ugly one. Despite the ugly game Jahna had her usual stellar performance. In the photo she is caught making a beautiful pass from mid-field to a wide open forward in front of the goal.

Could a Game Get Any Worse Than This?

Well good for you on the self controll... Next time you play them make sure it is a rough game!!!!... If they want to talk trash make sure they are doing it from the ground... What you did was the right thing.
